the amazing race: do it for the hood! do it for the suburbs! [s15e05]

TONIGHT’S DESTINATION: Dubai

ha. i can tell from the preview with the woman wearing the floaties and crying that she doesn’t want to go down the slide that this is going to be a great episode.

i am going to just come out and say it … i do not like the team with the two globetrotters. i mean why can’t they use their real names? flight time and big easy. seems silly. and they act like they’ve lived under a rock all their lives. every time something is new and different they go on and on about having never experienced anything like that. we get it, shut up already.

if i’m not mistaken we had convincing evidence that tiffany and maria, the professional poker players, are a lesbian couple. interesting as i hadn’t seen any hints until this last episode. just a random observation. i’m just happy they didn’t turn out to be crazy bitches like they came off in the first episode.

the amazing race 15: they thought godzilla was walking down the street [s15e01]

TONIGHT’S DESTINATIONS: u.s. –> japan –> vietnam

THE COMMENTARY: judging books by their covers i don’t like half of the contestants this season. they best try and persuade me otherwise.

i’m dying to go on this show. that would have to be the most amazing experience EVER.

oh, i really like they are going to eliminate one couple within the first few minutes of the race. excellent. oh and tokyo is the first stop on the race. color me jealous.

i just wish they would adopt HD for this show already. i get that reality filming requires special needs and lots of recording but if survivor can go HD i don’t see why the amazing race can’t.

okay so this license plate challenge? seriously?!? how do people not get that the two characters on the top of the clie are the ones they should be looking for? wow i want to feel bad for the biker, yoga, hippie people but seriously, if you couldn’t have figured that out …

oh i wanted to like the poker gals but i hate when people lie like that. they are definitely on my bad list now. pretty f-ing lame. if you have to lie to get ahead then you just don’t deserve it.

arigato mr. roboto. dear lord i want to go to japan. THIS SHOW IS SO FREAKING AWESOME. sushi roulette?!? amazing. i would die if i had to eat that wasabi bomb. this might be a game that will need to be exported for house parties.

i love the team with the guy that has aspergers(zev). he’s so snappy and witty. oh yeah and i also love the team with the hot gay brothers.

haha and could you imagine having to eat two of those wasabi bombs because you ate the first one 5 seconds too slowly. i have a bit of my faith restored in her after downing that second one immediately after the first.

the purple team is soooooooo lucky the first pitstop wasn’t an elimination. lucky bastards.

so let’s analyze how canaan says “with mika, i’m sexually pure.” he never says he’s just sexually pure. hmmm poorly worded phrase or is he just trying to be sneaky?

the lance lawyer guy is sort of a d-bag. “i’m not sure how things work here in vietnam …” wtf. i don’t know what the hell he was expecting. he seems to have been expecting some tropical 5-star resort.

maybe i spaced out for a second but i don’t quite get this mud challenge. does the mud protect the tree’s roots from natural elements or something? hmmm weird.

weren’t the evil poker team supposed to have a special roadblock? did i miss it? i don’t even see them trying to finish this challenge. so confuzzled.

i felt bad for garrett & jessica initially but then he threw his temper tantrum and it was sort of over for me. and i like how at the end he says “i don’t know if we’re closer to marriage, you never know.” and then he gives her a goofy look followed be an unsure look. lame.

overall, an excellent episode. i love how they choose the names of each episode based on one obscure, random quote. tonight’s came from one of the globetrotters as they were walking the streets of japan.
