it’s always sunny in philadelphia: the world series defense [s5e06]

By ryan rutledge, the guy who loves tv on October 25th, 2009

so this episode is about game 5 of the world series and the gang’s adventures on their way to the game.

the most annoying thing about this show is the fact that they promote that fantasy sports league show during every commercial break. those promos alone are the reason the fast-forward feature on my TiVo was invented.

do they still do fumigation like that? i have never in my life seen a house or building covered in the circus tent coverings. i call bullshit on that.

the judge on the show is a guest on EVERY show and more often than not she’s a judge … Bones, Boston Legal, Better Off Ted, Community, and now this.

THE SUMMARY: the gang decides to take a road trip to the grand canyon yet never manage to make it more than 20 minutes away from the bar.

THE AWESOMENESS VERDICT: 8 out of 10 awesomes. hilarious. awesome. random. makes me want to be part of their gang.

THE COMMENTARY: i think i need to find a group of people who would be willing to do things like they do on this show.

mmmm. pears. pears are one of the best fruits EVER. pears, strawberries, bananas, apples. yum. oddly enough i could see how a dry pear would taste like sand.

they clearly aren’t going to make it very far on this road trip. pretty amusing though.

i feel like dennis’ intelligence is so far above everyone else’s and that he’s just a unfortunate victim of circumstance. much like myself.

i died laughing when dee emptied her jar out the window.

yeah, there’s not much to say about this show other than the fact that it’s just really random, funny, and most importantly, awesome (just like me).

it’s always sunny in philadelphia: the gang exploits the mortgage crisis [s5e01]

By ryan rutledge, the guy who loves tv on September 21st, 2009

SUMMARY: dee decides to become a surrogate mother for another couple while frank decides to start flipping houses that are being foreclosed on due to the economy. other stuff could have happened but my tivo didn’t record the whole episode and it won’t be on hulu until friday. LAME.

RUNNING COMMENTARY: “you guys want to go for an octo-mom thing? huh? i’m game! you want to have 10? you want to outdo that bitch? i’ll have that conversation! i’m kidding, i don’t want 10 people inside of me.”

“well, filibuster.”

i think i must be tired because i can’t come up with any commentary for this episode.

yeah, given that i’m watching this on my tivo and that it was recorded like 5 days ago, i’m pretty annoyed with all these promos for a special preview of something of which i have no idea what it is.

um yeah and my tivo cut off before it officially ended. and i’m annoyed.

AWESOME METER: 8 out of 10 awesomes (based on the part that i was able to see).
