i’ve been absent for a while. surely i’ll come back when things calm down a bit?
i cannot stand this affair between don and the skanky whore of a teacher. seriously. betty is amazing. what the hell is wrong with him?!? i’m just glad that betty is on her way to exposing don and all his lies. i was okay with the previous marriage one but now that he’s a cheating ass, i’m hoping the world falls down on him.
speaking of amazing … so happy to see joan in this episode. she’s absolutely awesome and i hope she ends up back at the agency in an even stronger role.
the attorney’s advice to just stay with don just blew my mind. what is wrong with people?

kitty reading on her kindle re-ignites my desire for a kindle. although i have two dilemmas: 1 – kindle or nook? 2 – do i withhold getting one completely in hoping that early next year apple comes out with a tablet device that has some sort of e-reader capability built-in? ugh this decision is eating me up. i really want an e-reader BADLY but too many decisions to make on getting one. okay, back to the show …
i love sally field and i love her in this role of her being an over-protective mother. i am finding that each episode they keep increasing her level of over-protectiveness and it’s starting to get annoying. i don’t want it to be that way. please make it stop. why can’t she just keep putting on the family dinners that turn into extravaganzas?
so holly getting screwed over by the investment firm who she has her money with is destined to be her payback for being a bitch early on. sad, but a nice little twist to the story. a perfect example of what goes around, comes around.

first of all, i would have never expected that julie would be having the affair with the creepy gangster dad. i only call him gangster dad since his wife on the show is drea de matteo and she was on the sopranos previously. the guy is creepy and nobody dates creepy guys. it’s a rule! i need this character to be killed and written off the show. he was creepy on dirt and he’s creepy on this show, that means he’s just a creepy guy.
one thing that bothers me about this show is that i feel like it’s the same plotline either extended longer and longer or slightly tweaked and applied to another character. it’s the same thing over and over. i remember when this show was amazing and it was must-see tv on sunday. now i’m not so sure it is anymore.

so i have re-enabled the featured banner at the top of the page and made several smaller design changes in an attempt to make this version of the sign a bit more enticing while i work on development of a whole new layout and design.
obviously, the key feature are the hand-drawn banners that will be customized to each episode of a show. i’m trying out one of these wacom tablets to see if it makes drawing the images for each entry a bit easier.
here’s to hoping i don’t give up on this.
so this episode is about game 5 of the world series and the gang’s adventures on their way to the game.
the most annoying thing about this show is the fact that they promote that fantasy sports league show during every commercial break. those promos alone are the reason the fast-forward feature on my TiVo was invented.
do they still do fumigation like that? i have never in my life seen a house or building covered in the circus tent coverings. i call bullshit on that.
the judge on the show is a guest on EVERY show and more often than not she’s a judge … Bones, Boston Legal, Better Off Ted, Community, and now this.

the summary: everyone wants to give a silly little speech. and by everyone, i mean vanessa, olivia (senorita hillary duff), y blair. they fight it out in true gossip girl style with backstabbing and manipulation. meanwhile, serena is about to be done with boy number one million and two.
the awesomeness verdict: 7.5 out of 10 awesomes.
the commentary:
hmmm so apparently i need to see this movie enough about eve. i bet this episode would then hold more relevance for me.
oh snap. this olivia girl better watch out. vanessa has an evil side that has yet to come out but this could lead to some tragedy hair pulling. of course you expect to pull stunts like this but for this new girl to do it is interesting, although i suppose she doesn’t know what she’s doing, but still …
my favorite part of this show has to be the music. such an excellent choice. i seem to find myself downloading at least one song from iTunes each time i see an episode.
ah and here comes vanessa’s weasely side. it would be so much fun if she was just downright evil like blair can be.
ha, so my tivo had some recording problems during the scene when vanessa is trying to convince dan not to bring olivia after all. vanessa goes “i know this is my fault but tell her you want to have a special night. just the two of you”. dan goes “and make my special chicken?” well, what follows according to my tivo is “i’ll give you a … ” all of a sudden the audio conveniently goes out and i wasn’t look at the screen so i initially thought they were bleeping out the word blow job. yeah, i had to watch that scene again to make sure i wasn’t losing my mind. apparently i’m not, my mind is just in the gutter.
vanessa’s mom is sooooo nothing like i imagined. i wasn’t expecting all put together and elegant. i was expecting wild & crazy. i suppose she has a twist of hipster/non-conformist in her so that sort of balances things out.
this gay kiss with chuck was built up and it was a TOTAL let down. it was barely even a peck. boo. and there was no drama surrounding it. LAME.
ah and here is the drama. of course i wouldn’t be let down. one thing that amazes me is that after all that trouble blair went to get chuck, why would you mess things up on purpose?!? there are so many ways around that happening.
haha. this keeps getting better and better. i think everyone has been betrayed every way imaginable.
blair: i messed up didn’t i?
lily: yes. yes, you really did.
blair: lily. you’re supposed to say everything is going to be fine. where did you learn how to give a pep-talk? guantanamo?
i absolutely love that rufus and lily are married now. the show just seems so much rounded out now.
i, however, do not love the way the episode ends. i can’t deal with any more blair chasing chuck. and the vanessa being stood up by her mom was just sadness. i would say it would be good if it made things better between blair and vanessa but we all know that isn’t going to happen.
stay entertained with this until i return from hiatus. seriously one of the best episodes of the office.
on a short break (through 10/4) while we do some optimizing. stay tuned!
